Since graduating from a joint International Development & Political Science degree from UNB Fredericton Matt has lived, worked or played in more than 10 countries. He started my career in 2015 at J.D. Irving as an IT Business Analyst to better understand the technology landscape in the province. In 2016 he started working in the settlement sector on the frontlines of the Syrian Response. After two years as a settlement counsellor, he evolved his focus to immigrant entrepreneurship as the Program Director of the Business Immigrant Essentials program and The Hive Incubator for Newcomer Entrepreneurs with Economic Development Greater Saint John. In 2020 he launched the first podcast network in New Brunswick dedicated to telling Atlantic Canadian stories. In 2021, he joined the great team at NBMC to work on the ever-important employment file. He’s excited to innovate, collaborate and communicate in the immigration space in New Brunswick for years to come.
