The New Brunswick Multicultural Council (NBMC) is dedicated to advocating for the rights and opportunities of all New Brunswick residents, and we believe in the power of every individual to shape our community. We invite new Canadians to participate in an impactful video project aimed at promoting voter participation in the upcoming New Brunswick elections. Voting is a fundamental part of any democracy. It allows citizens to voice their opinions on how they are governed and by whom.

Every vote contributes to shaping the policies that affect our daily lives and ensures that our governance reflects the diverse voices of our community. By participating in elections, we not only exercise our rights but also contribute to the integrity and vitality of our democratic process.

This project is strictly non-partisan, focusing on the civic importance and impact of each vote rather than supporting any political party.

We are looking for individuals who are:

• New Canadians and Canadian citizens.
• Comfortable with recording a brief video answering a question about the significance of participating in the democratic process.
  

Project Details:

• Record a maximum 30-second video clip or less showing your face and answering one or both of the questions below.
• Question: 1) Why is it important for you to vote?                2) What political issues are most important to you, and why?

  
  Non-partisan Content: Your response must remain completely neutral. Please ensure that your answer does not endorse, criticize, or insinuate any preferences for any political party. The focus should be purely on the personal significance of voting and its impact on community engagement.
  

Participant Requirements:

• Must be a Canadian citizen to participate.
• Must be willing to record themselves discussing their views on voting.

Honorarium: All selected responses will receive an Amazon $100 gift card as a token of our appreciation.

How to Apply: Before submitting your application, please ensure you have access to a recording device and have thoroughly reviewed and understood all the requirements listed above. Once you are ready, choose one or both of the provided questions and complete the form with your response. Your answer should be concise, not exceeding 150 words or 30 seconds. If your submission is selected, we will provide you with further instructions.
