April 11, 2022

The New Brunswick Multicultural Council (NBMC) is collaborating, for the first time, with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick (NANB) to financially assist immigrants who are interested in taking action and becoming a registered nurse. The New Brunswick Multicultural Council is working to enrich and grow our communities and enhance life in our province by enabling newcomers and members of the multicultural community to fully participate in society.

The Nurses Association of New Brunswick vision is leadership and innovation in nursing regulation in New Brunswick. Their mandate is regulation for safe, competent, and ethical nursing care.

Under the Nurses Act, NANB is legally responsible to protect the public by regulating members of the nursing profession in New Brunswick. Regulation makes this profession, and nurses as individuals, accountable to the public for the delivery of safe, competent and ethical nursing care. This partnership between NBMC and NANB, is offering immigrants a chance to win one of five grants of $1500 to help with nursing school expenses.
