National Francophone Immigration Week 2021 – Making our community libraries more inclusive
As part of National Francophone Immigration Week 2021, NBMC wishes to emphasize the importance of reflecting the diversity that surrounds us on the shelves of our personal, school and community libraries.
Making our community libraries more inclusive not only allows children and culturally diverse people to identify with the books they borrow, but also provides greater equity of voice and language perspectives to the community. Here are our suggestions for the week to stay informed and mobilized against racial discrimination and against any other form of discrimination linked to cultural affiliation.
You can also find great book recommendations at the Regroupement Feministe du Nouveau-Brunswick virtual library and even borrow them for free by becoming a member of RFNB!
